No. As of July 2023, Yoga Alliance no longer distinguishes between contact (in-person) and non-contact hours. You can earn your hours online, in person, or both.

How Can I Earn CE Hours for My RYT?
Options include:

  • In-person: Instructor in the same location

  • Synchronous online: Live virtual sessions

  • Asynchronous online: Self-paced or pre-recorded with interaction

Who Can Provide CE Hours?
From:

  • A Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP)

  • A current E-RYT®

  • An experienced professional with relevant education

How Do I Log My Hours With Yoga Alliance?

Yes. After completing each CEU course or the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will receive a digital certificate of completion. For CEU courses, this certificate can be submitted directly to Yoga Alliance or other accrediting bodies for credit.

Yes. Learn at your own pace with lifetime access to materials. Special live events or workshops are noted on the course page.

Primarily designed for registered yoga teachers seeking CEUs, but also open to wellness professionals, bodyworkers, and anyone wanting to expand their knowledge.

We offer Yoga Alliance–approved CEU courses, including Living the Sutras, Asana to Awareness, and Vagus Nerve & Vitality. Courses cover techniques, training, practice, anatomy, Professional essentials,  physiology, and yoga humanities.

Absolutely. Each CEU course includes a live Zoom session with your instructor where you can ask questions, discuss the material, and explore how the teachings apply to your practice and education. Students in the 200-hour program also receive ongoing mentorship and guidance throughout their training.

Yes. All CEU courses meet Yoga Alliance Continuing Education requirements.

Yes. You’ll retain access to all course materials, updates, and resources.

 That depends on your pace. Many complete it in 4-6 months, but you have as much time as you need to finish.
