Why I Created the Treasure Coast Yoga Academy
A Loving Invitation for Every Stage of Life
Something has been calling me for a long time now. A quiet whisper that grew louder as I listened more deeply—not just in my own body, but in the bodies and stories of the people around me.
People navigating change.
Women entering new chapters—menopause, empty nests, reinvention.
Young adults learning to stand on their own.
People of all genders waking up to new aches, new awakenings, new questions.
Over the years, I’ve taught Ashtanga Yoga to people of all ages, backgrounds, and bodies. And what I’ve found is this: we are all being asked to live more honestly.
To ask ourselves: Who am I now? What is mine to do? How do I take care of my changing body, my tender heart, my curious soul?

This is why I created the Treasure Coast Yoga Academy.
Yes, it is a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour teacher training. Yes, you will learn Sanskrit counting, anatomy, philosophy, adjustments, and the beautiful Ashtanga sequence. But that’s just the surface.
This training is a container for transformation—spiritual, personal, communal.
It’s a space for deep listening, healing, growth, and coming home to yourself, whether or not you ever plan to teach.
It’s open to every body, identity, and path:
- 20s & 30s – learning how to live more independently, questioning cultural expectations around career, marriage, or parenthood.
- 40s & 50s – reevaluating identity, purpose, relationships, and priorities.
- 60s & beyond – reconnecting with body, soul, and community.
This is your invitation to grow, to study, to rise.
This is not yoga to perform. This is yoga to remember.
- To remember your strength, your softness, your truth.
- To be in relationship—with yourself, with others, with life itself.
- To explore not just postures, but the inner spectrum of human experience.
We’ll talk about menopause, identity, discipline, career changes, and spiritual longing.
We’ll study the Bhagavad Gita, the yogic sutras, the power of breath.
We’ll gather in circle, share in practice, and build something many of us have been craving: true, meaningful community.
This is more than teacher training.
It’s a return to your Self.
We are not here to perfect poses.
We are here to shed illusions, cultivate presence, and remember who we are—again and again.
If you’ve ever thought “I’m too old” or “It’s too late” or “I’m not enough”—
I want you to know: You are welcome. You are needed. You are exactly on time.
The Fall 2025 cohort of the Treasure Coast Yoga Academy is now forming.
Whether you’re becoming a teacher, deepening your practice, or simply ready to say yes to yourself—this is your invitation.
Come grow, study, heal—and rise—together.
